Join us for the seventh Learning Technologies conference to investigate the coming together of technology & people.
I found the Learning Technologies Conference wonderfully inspiring and very well organised. It was a credit to the organisers. Well done!
Lynne Stephens, Senior Project Officer - Innovations, Wide Bay Institute of TAFE
The theme for Learning Technologies 2004 Conference is: Come Together.
It is designed to address the issues of convergence:
What is convergence and what effect will it have on learning technologies? What will it allow us to do that we can't do now and how will it affect learning and teaching? How do we ensure that people come together and retain the human element of learning? These questions and more will be addressed at Learning Technologies 2004.
The Learning Technologies Conference is a key part of Queensland's NET*Working 2004 events. NET*Working 2004 is a national online conference specifically designed to highlight how technology can be used to deliver education and training flexibly, being held from 8-19 November. NET*Working 2004 also features face-to-face events in all States and Territories.

If you use technology in the learning process this conference boosts your confidence to reach your full potential to function at the cutting edge. We
journeyed from New Zealand and everything was tremendous: from pre-conference communication through to final presentation workshop on metadata. Learning
Technologies helped us focus on ensuring we deliver the best to our learners.
Toni Waho, Te Runanganui o nga Kura Kaupapa Maori o Aotearoa.
Practitioners and experts in the use of learning technologies will come together to share ideas about how convergence is affecting them and their learners and how they ensure the human element is not lost.
The conference will present expert opinion and showcase best practice from Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA.
The direct manner in which this conference addressed challenges
and successes was a welcome change. I was able to take in all sessions. That
meant I came away feeling that I hadn't missed anything.
Alex Hickey, Coordinator Virtual Teacher Centre, Newfoundland, Canada
Learning Technologies 2004 is an opportunity for teachers, lecturers, trainers and educators in any field to come together & learn about the latest learning technologies and how they can be used effectively. This is your opportunity to converge with the experts, see what others are doing and debate the issues confronting us in the use of these technologies.
Come together for 3 days and attend a variety of presentations, workshops and social activities that will provide an excellent opportunity to extend your knowledge, expand your thinking and create new contacts.
On Wednesday we will be hosting an optional extra half-day - see Workshop for more information.
This conference has opened my eyes to the need to never deal with learning and technology in
isolation. I found it very educational and I came away with many issues to
ponder.
